Computer Upgrades

As the world of technology progresses, with bigger and better applications, it can be a bit much for your older hardware to take on. Luckily small upgrades can give it the grunt it needs to keep up with the increased load.

Memory (RAM) is the most commonly exhausted resource. RAM acts as temporary storage for your computer to hold data it is processing. If you run out of memory then your computer has to wait until there is room for the data before it can action the task given to it. RAM upgrades are affordable and quickly carried out.

Hard drives are also a limiting factor in your computers performance. Traditional hard drives have a mechanical disk spinning and data is read through a head (very similar to how a record player works). These are great for storage lots of data but it takes a while for the head to search out the data you asked it for.

An SSD removes the mechanical process of retrieving data and the result is a much quicker transfer time. SSD's are relatively cheap and can make a huge difference to your computers boot and application loading time. I can recommend and fit an SSD to your computer and most of the time your old hard drive can be used as a second drive to increase your overall storage capacity.
